The 2018-2020 Collective Agreement has been signed by the Cocoa Marketing Company (Gh) Ltd and the Industrial and Commercial Workers' Union (Gh) at the Cocoa House, in Accra.
During the short but very impressive ceremony, the Managing Director of CMC, Mr. Joe Forson expressed his happiness about the agreement being signed, adding that albeit there were some areas the union did not agree with Management, at the end of the day, all went well.
"'Notwithstanding a few differences, there has been a fantastic cordial relationship between the Union and Management.
He revealed that the CMC Board as well as Management is very happy and proud of the hardwork exhibited by staff of the Company and pray them to continue to even work harder in the days ahead.
Mr. Solomon Ashaley Kotei, the General Secretary of the Industrial and Commercial Workers' Union (Gh) implored the Management of CMC to take the signing of every Collective Agreement seriously, noting that the focus of the Union is to work hard, create wealth and enjoy the fruit of her labour.
He was quick to thank Management of CMC for recognising the hardwork of staff, but advised that the plaudits should be made to find expression in the pockets of the staff.
"'A well motivated employee is disciplined, focused and willing to work very hard. We look forward to improving upon both the finances and the text of the Collective Agreement next time," he concluded..
