CMC Ladies Club Gets New Leadership

A five member team of the Cocoa Marketing Company, (Gh) Ltd. Ladies Club has been sworn into office at the Cocoa House in Accra, for a two year term,with a call on the new executives to ensure that they better the fortunes of the Club,since a lot is expected of them from their members.The executives are:

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony,the Managing Director of CMC, Mr, Vincent Okyere Akomeah noted that every new thing comes with anticipation, (positive and negative), hoping that the new executives will bring on board positivities.

 

" An old order is passing away, handing the baton to a new order and everything new comes with anticipation, positive and negative, but this order is positive."

 

Mr. Akomeah noted that albeit  newness is good,it will take the combined effort of both the membership and the new  leadership to bring on board the positive changes the Club had  yearned for, for the benefit of its members.

 

He added that women form an integral part of society with positive hearts and thoughts, showcasing actions and inactions that inure to the benefit of themselves and their male counterparts.

 

Mr. Akomeah reminded the new executives that it was after willingly presenting themselves for election that they were voted into office, imploring them to justify the confidence reposed in them by their members, through improving the fortunes of the Club.

 

"You offered yourselves to serve and your people voted you into office.Knowing your abilities, use your mandate for the benefit of your people.Use new positive approaches, doing things differently to make the Club better than you inherited it from your predecessors''.

 

Oheneyere Gifty Anti, the special guest speaker said that humans as the executives are, they will make mistakes, but they should carry their members with them on their journey to serve, since no member of the Club is useless.

 

She implored the ladies to stand united, even in the midst of their agreements and disagreements, making sure that they discharge their duties effectively, efficiently, and in harmony, so as to add value to themselves

 

"Add value to yourselves, let there be added value to yourselves,"she stresses.

 

Speaking on behalf of the new executives,the President, Gloria Boatemah Andoh thanked the Almighty God for making the occasion possible, promising that her administration will carry every member of the Club on board, adding that she will operate an open door policy and social integration, during her tenure of office.

 

She minced no words in publishing that her administration will promote workplace harmony and work in tandem with CMC Management to such levels that the ladies will be accorded the needed attention they deserve.

 

Some dignitaries present at the ceremony were the Deputy Managing Directors of CMC in charge of Marketing and Operation, Messrs. Frederick Amponsah Doku and Paul Issac Kwofie,the Deputy Director, Finance, Mrs. Yvonne Oye Esuon,the Audit Manager, Mrs,Eunice Ogah,the Senior Shipping Manager, Mrs.  Comfort A. Abanquah,the Shipping Manager,Mrs. Tena Anderson,the Deputy Human Resource Manager, Madam Chistiana Engmann and the Deputy IT Manager,Mrs. Betty Latebea.

 

There were women representatives from the Quality Control Company,Cocoa Health and Extension Division and the Seed Production Unit.
