Cocobod Embarks On Health Walk

Staff of Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) undertook a six -hour health walk to herald activities marking the 75th anniversary celebration of Cocobod's existence and the annual Cocoa Producers' Alliance (COPAL) day.
Led by the Deputy Chief Executive, Finance and Administration, Mr. Emmanuel Ray Ankrah, a cross section of staff, drawn from the Cocoa Marketing Company, (Gh) Ltd.,the Quality Control Company Ltd.(QCC), the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana, (CRIG) the Seed Production Division, (SPD) and the Cocoa Health and Extension Division, (CHED) (Subsidiaries and Divisions of Cocobod) participated in the walk from the Ayi Mensah Police Station, (Greater Accra Region) to Aburi. (Eastern region)
In Aburi,participants were taken through aerobic exercises and dance competitions, amidst pieces of advice to promote cocoa consumption as a healthy food and beverage option, and also to encourage staff to work harder to sustain the cocoa industry.
The walk was replicated in Kumasi and Takoradi simultaneously, with some family members of Cocobod staff participating in the exercise, since cocoa consumption is good health and good health is wealth.
